The African Canadian
Heritage Tour
The
African Canadian Heritage Tour includes five sites in the
Essex and Kent areas of Southern Ontario, each a rich repository
of the history of enslaved African Americans who found their
way here via the Underground Railroad. Many remained in
Canada after Emancipation and the tour shows the rich history
of the communities they founded. Travel information may
be obtained through travel agents.
